Would you like to go fishing at the highest lake in the mountains around Lech Zürs? At an altitude of 2,160 meters, Lake Zürsersee offers you challenging fishing opportunities in the middle of a breathtaking backdrop. The lake is home to a healthy population of Arctic char and lake trout, which can be caught all around. The floating jetty is reserved for hikers.
Surrounded by an impressive mountain landscape, Lake Spullersee stretches at an altitude of 1,810 meters. Thanks to its easy accessibility with the Lech local bus, this lake offers everything a mountain angler could desire. Regardless of whether it is rainbow, brown, lake trout, or brook trout – beautiful salmonids can be caught in almost every part of the approximately 50 hectare reservoir.
Directly on the Lechbach in the Zug district is the Lech fishing pond, which has been a meeting place for anglers and those who want to become anglers since 1976. The club’s own fishing pond of the Lech Fishing Club offers a picturesque environment for experienced fishermen and hobby fishermen. Fishing tackle and bait are provided on site, and with a few helpful tips nothing stands in the way of catching your first fish. Experienced fishermen will be happy to give you advice on how to make a catch right away. The highlight is that the home-caught trout and char can be prepared immediately if desired – be it smoked or fried. A fish you catch yourself always tastes delicious!
You can fish for rainbow trout and brown trout in the Lechbach over a total length of 17 km. It is a great experience to fish between impressive gorges and natural gravel stretches in the middle of the alpine landscape.
In 2015, this lake was voted the most beautiful place in Austria by hikers, which is absolutely understandable because the lake is extremely impressive. At this mountain lake you can enjoy the wonderful mountain panorama and fish for rainbow and brown trout.
