The route alternates between gentle passages and more demanding sections. The ideal starting point is at the municipal office in Au. The skating trail runs partly parallel to the cross-country trail and forms a loop in Wieden. After crossing a road, the route descends slightly back to the starting point. From there you continue your route until you reach the cycle bridge on the Argenbach. The route then runs in a wide loop through the Reute cattle pasture before returning to the starting point. This diverse route offers both beginners and experienced cross-country skiers an exciting and varied experience.
