Cross-country skiing in the Brandnertal means sport and nature experiences in a class of their own: Whether classic or skating style, beginner or advanced, everyone gets their money’s worth with us. Experience cross-country skiing in its original form on over 20 kilometers of trails in a glittering winter landscape.
These cross-country trails, newly created in 2015, are located on the sunny high plateau of the Tschengla. Located at 1200m, you get a breathtaking view of the surrounding five valleys. No wonder that the Ronagebeit is considered by insiders to be the cross-country Eldorado of western Austria.
You can reach the start of this circular course, which is considered challenging due to the height differences to be overcome, from the Tschengla hiking car park after a short walk. Passing the mystical stone circle signs, this course leads to the district of Vilschena and back again. Note: Skating is possible on 80% of the route.
Due to the small difference in altitude, this course is also ideal for beginners. You can reach the entrance a little above Alpe Rona on foot or via the so-called Olympic cross-country ski trail. Note: Skating is possible on 80% of the route.
Due to the breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains, this course is particularly recommendable. You can reach the entrance to this newly created cross-country ski trail from the Tschengla hiking car park in just a few minutes on foot. Note: Skating is possible on 80% of the route.
This beautifully designed cross-country ski trail takes you from the starting point not far from the riding hall of the Sporthotel Beck along the Alvierbach into the valley to the Herz Jesu Chapel in the Innertal village section.
Enjoy the unclouded rush of the stream on a slight incline. When you reach the Herz-Jesu-Kapelle, the course runs out of the valley on the opposite side of the village stream. The start of the trail can be reached in several places. Note: Skating is possible on 80% of the route.
