The steep rock and the indescribable summit experience not only attract advanced climbers and professionals, but also children and beginners, who can learn to climb, this wonderful sport, in our climbing gardens. Of course, it is best learned under the guidance of experienced guides from the mountaineering schools. A sense of achievement is thus guaranteed.
Indoor and outdoor climbing, climbing courses and via ferrata – all this is offered by the Brandnertal. In each of the four communities in the valley there are opportunities to practice or learn this sport.

Via ferrata Saulakopf – Brand
The Saulakopf via ferrata was opened in June 2007. It leads through the east face and over the southeast ridge of the Saulakopf. The via ferrata impresses with great views of the Lünersee, the Zimba and the entire Montafon.
Summit: Saulakopf, 2,517 m

Degree of difficulty: B/C, some sections D and one section D/E
Starting point ascent: from the Douglasshütte approx. 1 hour 15 minutes, from the Heinrich-Hueter-Hütte approx. 45 minutes,
Descent: South of the summit via the marked Saulasteig to the Saulajoch and on to the Lünerseebahn.
Climbing time: ascent: 2 hours, descent: 2 hours
